Annual Travel Medical Plans are designed
for trips between 15 days and 3 years. The long term plans tend to offer
(optional) higher limits of coverage and are designed primarily for travel
outside the insured's home country. Long Term plans cost per day is usually
advantageous compared to Short Term products, however, these age rated policies
tend to be more expensive for travelers in excess of 65 years of age. But
if you need a higher limit of coverage than the short term offers or your
trip length requires coverage for a longer period of time this could be
your only option.
